Naturopathic Medicine

At Kinetically Whole Therapies, we believe that true health isn’t just the absence of symptoms, it’s your whole system working together. Naturopathic medicine meets that belief head-on. It digs into the full picture: your history, your habits, your environment, and the threads connecting every system in your body.

Whether you’re managing a chronic condition, trying to get to the bottom of something that’s felt “off” for years, or you want to be proactive before something becomes a problem, naturopathic care gives you both the investigation and the tools to move forward.

Dr. Paul Conyette – Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, Registered Manual Osteopath, Acupuncturist, & Psychotherapist | PhD, ND, BSc, MLT, DOMP, RAc.

KWT’s naturopathic services are offered by Dr. Paul Conyette, ND, one of Manitoba’s most experienced and broadly trained naturopathic doctors. Dr. Paul has been in practice since 1989 and brings a depth of clinical knowledge that’s genuinely rare.

Training & Certifications

His training spans institutions across Canada, the United States, and internationally, including the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (University of Toronto), the University of Manitoba, Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the National Academy of Osteopathy, among others.

In addition to his ND designation, Dr. Paul is also a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac), and holds a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP). He is certified in acupuncture and manipulation through the College of Naturopaths of Manitoba and is a registered member of the Manitoba Professional Acupuncture Association (MPAA).

Dr. Paul’s Practice

Dr. Paul succeeded Dr. Lambert Grube ND, Manitoba’s first licensed naturopathic doctor since 1946, making him one of the longest-practicing NDs in the province. He has over 35 years of clinical experience working with patients across all stages of life.

He brings both the clinical breadth and the diagnostic tools to look at your health in a way most practitioners simply can’t.

What to Expect

At your first appointment, Dr. Paul will take time to understand your full health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and goals. From there, you’ll work together on a plan that’s genuinely built for you.

Treatment with Dr. Paul may include any combination of:

  • Clinical nutrition and dietary guidance
  • Botanical (herbal) medicine
  • Nutritional supplementation
  • IV therapy (intravenous nutrient delivery)
  • On-site and reference laboratory testing
  • Preventative cardiovascular screening
  • Lifestyle and stress counselling
  • Physical medicine and manipulation
  • Acupuncture (see separate service page)
  • Homeopathy

Follow-up appointments assess your progress, adjust the plan, and keep building on what’s working. Because Dr. Paul’s scope includes in-house lab testing, he can monitor your results over time without having to send you elsewhere.

What is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic Medicine is a regulated health profession in Manitoba. Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) are trained as primary care providers, completing a minimum four-year accredited naturopathic medical program, on top of undergraduate studies, covering both conventional medical sciences and natural, evidence-informed therapies.

NDs in Manitoba are regulated under The Naturopathic Act and registered with the College of Naturopaths of Manitoba, so the care you receive meets established professional and ethical standards.

Rather than managing symptoms in isolation, naturopathic medicine asks why and then builds a personalized plan to address it at the root. It works beautifully on its own, and even better integrated with the rest of your care team.

Everyone can benefit from Naturopathic Medicine. It is especially valuable if you’ve felt like something is off and haven’t been able to get clear answers or if you’re managing a chronic condition and want support that goes beyond the standard approach.

With Dr. Paul’s background in lab sciences, IV therapy, osteopathy, and acupuncture, KWT is uniquely positioned to offer integrative naturopathic care that connects the dots across your whole health picture. All is connected and that’s exactly how he treats.

Dr. Paul is certified in IV (intravenous) therapy, a modality that delivers nutrients, vitamins, and supportive compounds directly into the bloodstream for maximum absorption. IV therapy is used to support everything from immune function and energy to recovery and chronic condition management.

Due to Health Canada regulations, we are unable to include specific details about the ingredients, benefits or medical uses of our IV therapy services. If IV therapy has been recommended to you, or if you’re curious whether it might be part of your plan, Dr. Paul can assess whether it’s appropriate and administer it safely in-clinic.

One of Dr. Paul’s clinical emphases is catching things before they become crises. He offers a range of preventative health checks that go well beyond a standard intake, including:

  • Coronary artery calcium scoring (cardiovascular risk before a heart attack occurs)
  • Carotid artery disease screening (stroke risk assessment)
  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screening
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG) to rule out heart disease
  • Peripheral artery disease (PAD) screening for leg and foot pain

These assessments are particularly valuable if you have a family history of cardiovascular disease, or if you’re in a season of life where you want a clear picture of where your health actually stands.

Naturopathic medicine is not covered under Manitoba Health (provincial health insurance). However, many extended health benefit plans cover naturopathic medicine. Check with your provider for your annual allowance and any ND-specific requirements. IV therapy coverage varies by plan.

Dr. Paul provides receipts for reimbursement for his services.
