Osteopathic Treatment

Osteopathy works by mobilizing all aspects of the body: joints, tissues, fascia, fluids, viscera. Dysfunction can occur at any place in the body. The hands-on mobilization of these structures aims to release tight muscles, restrictions in joints to free nerves, blood vessels, lymph flow, and spinal fluid flow as well as blockages between organs. This freedom then allows the body to self-heal.

We can tap into these areas of the body where we find acceptance, with this acceptance and some assistance the body will naturally recover to a state of well-being.

Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy that works on the belief that all the body systems are inter-connected and emphasizing the body’s natural healing processes.

This hands-on therapy addresses most aspects of the body, including joints, tissues, fascia, fluids and viscera with the aim of providing freedom from restrictions and blockages. This then allows the body to self heal.

Osteopathic techniques are comprised of gentle joint mobilizations, muscle re-coordinating techniques, visceral manipulations, cranial osteopathy and soft tissue techniques.

When our structure can freely adapt and move, we harmoniously achieve responses in the way our bodies function.

Manual Osteopaths have a unique way of looking at and working with the tissues and structures of the body to find ease and flow of movement, ultimately achieving relief from pain, disorder and disease.
